Tej Pratap Yadav opens up about his failed marriage to Aishwarya Rai on Rise And Fall 2

Tej Pratap Yadav has spoken about his broken marriage to Aishwarya Rai on the reality show Rise And Fall 2. He said the couple were fighting within three months of the wedding.

Speaking to fellow contestant Niharika, Lalu Prasad Yadav's son said the two of them were very different people. He said it was an arranged marriage that happened under pressure, at a time when he was Bihar's Health Minister.

Tension at home kept him away, he said. Some nights he stayed at a friend's place, and on other nights he went somewhere else. He claimed that fights sometimes broke out in front of his parents, that she objected to his early morning prayers, and that she partied until 4 or 5 in the morning.

His most serious claim was about one evening when he came back from the Legislative Assembly. As he walked into the bedroom, he said, he saw her chatting with a man he described as her old boyfriend, sending "Love you" messages and heart emojis. He added that he recorded videos of their fights and submitted them in court as evidence.

Their wedding took place on May 12, 2018. The marriage fell apart within six months, and Tej Pratap filed for divorce. Aishwarya has made her own allegations against him in the court case, including harassment.

He has reportedly left Rise And Fall 2 because of his political and legal commitments. His exit episode airs on October 12.
