Claps, never stars
A five-star average tells you nothing. Claps are a count of people who liked something, shown next to the critics and the audience separately.
Telugu first, then everything else
Most entertainment sites built for India are built for Hindi and then translated. We started from Telugu because that is the audience we know, and the catalogue reaches outward from there — Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi, including all eleven editions of Bigg Boss, each covered as its own show rather than as a footnote to the Hindi one.
How this site is made
Clapnumber is run by a very small team with a pipeline doing the repetitive part. Software gathers material from named public sources and drafts from it; a person reads every draft and decides whether it publishes. That is what lets a site this size stay current without a newsroom of forty people.
We think you are owed the details of that rather than a vague line about technology, so they are written down in full — what the model does, what it is never allowed to do, how we source, and what happens when we get something wrong.

An earlier Clapnumber ran until January 2023 on no marketing at all and was shut down because keeping it current cost more than it earned. This version is the answer to that: the same ambition, built so that one person can actually keep it running.
