Sunny Deol's crime thriller Suryaa gets first look, hits theatres November 20
The makers of Suryaa, a crime thriller starring Sunny Deol and directed by M. Padmakumar, have unveiled the first look poster and set a November 20 theatrical release.
Sunny Deol's next film is Suryaa, a crime thriller directed by M. Padmakumar. The makers have unveiled the first look and fixed the release date. The film reaches theatres on November 20.
In the poster, the actor holds a cigarette and wears an intense, brooding look. The tagline describes a man caught between his past and his present who finally uncovers the truth.
The makers shared a plot outline in a statement. A man gets pulled into a web of unanswered questions and buried secrets, and what starts as an investigation leads him somewhere far more complicated than he expected.
Producer Kamal Mukut said he had signed Sunny for two films, Gadar 2 and Suryaa, and that work on the second began after the first became a hit. He said the thriller shows the actor in a look audiences have never seen before. According to him, the story covers three phases of the character's life and moves between two different eras.
Padmakumar is known for the Malayalam films Joseph, Kanal and Uyir. Reports say Suryaa is a Hindi adaptation of Joseph. Ravi Kishan and Pragya Jaiswal play key roles.
MM Moviez is backing the film, with Deepak Mukut, Hemmant Mukut and Lokesh Mukut producing alongside Kamal Mukut.
