January 12 Vidudala: Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram film starts new schedule in Ooty

Anil Ravipudi's January 12 Vidudala has started its next shooting schedule in Ooty. Venkatesh, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty lead the cast.

The director posted a video of the team on social media to mark the start of the Ooty leg. He called it a "beauOOTYful schedule" with his "wonderful team". Reports say two songs and several key sequences will be shot at the hill station.

The film is set to release on January 12, 2027, for the Sankranthi festival season.

Sriman, who also acts in the film, wrote on X that he had danced in a song choreographed by Brinda Master. He said it was his first chance to work with her in almost eight years, and he thanked Ravipudi.

The makers announced the title only recently. Until then the project was known by the working tags #VenkyAnil5 and #NKRAR2.

Venkatesh's first look is already out. He plays Lt. Colonel Venkat Reddy, an Indian Army officer who specialises in counter-terrorism and hostage negotiation. The poster, released to mark his 40 years in films, shows him in army camouflage with sunglasses and a scarf, standing next to a rugged SUV.

Sahu Garapati is producing the film under the Shine Screens banner, and Suresh Productions, Archana and Zee Studios are presenting it. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music.
