Sooraj Pancholi says he never met Disha Salian, reveals death threats

Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi has once more spoken out about his name being tied to the Disha Salian death case. In a long note on Instagram, he said he has never met Disha Salian or Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, either directly or through anyone else. He also revealed that the online abuse aimed at him has grown into death threats.

The actor said people seem to assume he is frightened, but he insisted he is not. "I am not scared," he wrote, arguing that a frightened man would have stayed silent like many others. He said he has already lost years of his life to matters he had nothing to do with, and he refuses to watch it happen again just as he rebuilds his career.

Sooraj claimed much of the hostility comes from problems some people have with members of his family, and asked not to be made to pay for them. He said he has no political alliances or agenda. He urged the agencies to investigate fully and quickly, saying he would accept any punishment the law decides if even a small piece of evidence links him to the case. If he is cleared, he wants investigators and the media to say so just as loudly.

In his caption, the actor said the post does not cover everything he wants to share. He explained that he had hoped to publish it before his Instagram account was blocked, which he says he still does not understand. He added that he is ready to face a serious journalist who will put every tough question to him directly, as long as the conversation sticks to facts.

Disha Salian, who briefly worked as a manager for the late Sushant Singh Rajput, died in June 2020 after falling from a building in Mumbai's Malad area, and the Mumbai Police found no sign of foul play. Acting on a petition from her father, Satish Salian, the Bombay High Court on September 2, 2026 directed the CBI to register an FIR and investigate. The court stressed that nobody should be treated as an accused unless the probe turns up sufficient grounds. The CBI registered its FIR on September 13.

Separately, Disha's father reportedly submitted a pen drive to the CBI office in Mumbai on Thursday. His lawyer says it holds video testimony from an eyewitness.
