Chiranjeevi's Vishwambhara looks at early 2027, before Rajamouli's Varanasi

Chiranjeevi's socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara, directed by Vassishta, is now looking at an early 2027 release. The makers have not announced an official date yet.

Reports say March 2027 is the most practical window, with the team weighing a date around March 18, or possibly earlier. That slot would give the film a clear run in theatres before SS Rajamouli's Varanasi, which is scheduled for April 7, 2027.

The new window follows the plan for Chiranjeevi's other film, Kaaka. Director Bobby wants to finish the shoot in December and release the film on January 13, 2027, for Sankranthi. Last month, chatter on social media suggested Vishwambhara might reach theatres first and push Kaaka out of the festival race. With about three months to go, another Chiranjeevi release before Kaaka now looks unlikely.

Vishwambhara has been delayed again and again, and fans have waited a long time for a proper update. Some hope Dasara will bring fresh material, but nothing has been confirmed for the festival either.

On screen, Trisha and Ashika Ranganath star alongside Chiranjeevi, while MM Keeravani has composed the music.
