Raja Saab producer blames a crowded release season for the film's failure

Producer TG Vishwa Prasad has named the release date as one of the main reasons The Raja Saab failed. He said the Prabhas film, directed by Maruthi, came out in a crowded season.

He was asked what the team had learned from the result while he was promoting Garividi Lakshmi. Vishwa Prasad said the film would have fared differently if it had been released on another date. He also made it clear that the team was not dwelling on the past. "We are in a very good mood. Don't mistake me," he said, adding that they were enjoying Garividi Lakshmi for now.

The Raja Saab went down as a box office disaster and one of the weakest entries in Prabhas's filmography.

Many fans did not accept the producer's reasoning. Netizens argued that the film simply did not have enough strength to survive in theatres, whatever the season. Some also felt the team could have done much more with the story.
