Maruthi to start his next film with new faces in November after The Raja Saab

Director Maruthi will start shooting his next film in November, and the lead roles will go to new faces.

This is his first project since The Raja Saab. That film starred Prabhas and came with huge expectations, but it turned out to be a major disappointment. Its weak writing did not win over audiences, and the result hurt his standing in the industry.

Maruthi took a short break after the release. In that time he worked on a few scripts and approached several young actors, but none of them came on board.

So he is going back to his strengths. Reports say the new project will be an out-and-out comedy entertainer with a fresh concept at its centre.

The script is complete and pre-production has begun. Maruthi plans to wrap the shoot in quick schedules and release the film in summer 2027.
