Kalki 2: Sai Pallavi may join Nag Ashwin's sequel shoot in November
Sai Pallavi has reportedly been cast in Kalki 2 and may start filming in November 2026, as Nag Ashwin gets ready to resume the paused shoot later this month.
Sai Pallavi has reportedly come on board for "Kalki 2", Nag Ashwin's sequel to "Kalki 2898 AD", and may start shooting her part in November 2026. The makers have not confirmed her casting yet.
Deepika Padukone, who played Sumathi in the first film, will not return for the sequel. It is still unclear whether Sai Pallavi steps into that role or plays a new character.
Work on the sequel began earlier this year. Filming then stopped because Prabhas was unavailable, and Nag Ashwin is now getting ready to roll cameras again later this month.
The first part was a major box-office hit and won a National Film Award in the popular entertainment category. Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan played key roles in it.
