Vijay Sethupathi wraps Pocket Novel, his second film with Thiagarajan Kumararaja

Vijay Sethupathi has finished shooting Pocket Novel, his second film with director Thiagarajan Kumararaja after Super Deluxe. The makers have officially wrapped the shoot. The actor marked the moment by posting a promotional video of moments from the sets on social media.

The clip shows Sethupathi with co-star Malavika Mohanan, Raj B Shetty, who plays the villain, and the director himself.

Andrew Louis, who created the web series Vadhandhi, has written the story and screenplay. Ilaiyaraaja is composing the music, teaming up with Kumararaja again after Modern Love Chennai. Nirav Shah is behind the camera, and editor Sathyaraj Natarajan also works on the film as an executive producer.

Kumararaja is producing Pocket Novel with SD Ezhilmathy under the Tyler Durden and Kino Fist banners, and Ezhilmathy is also the costume designer. No release date has been announced yet.

Their first film together, Super Deluxe, came out in 2019. The hyperlink drama tied several stories together and cast Sethupathi as a transgender woman who returns to her wife and son. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Fahadh Faasil and Ramya Krishnan also played key roles.

On the big screen, Sethupathi was last seen in Baththa, a comedy drama directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan. Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road and Inji Vellam are among his upcoming films.
