Rachita Ram responds after fan pinches her cheek on her 34th birthday

Kannada star Rachita Ram's 34th birthday celebrations brought a moment nobody planned for. While she was meeting fans who had come to wish her, one admirer suddenly reached out and pinched her cheek. The moment was caught on camera and has since spread widely on social media.

According to reports, the actress, known to fans as the Dimple Queen, had stepped out of her home in Bengaluru's RR Nagar, where hundreds of well-wishers had gathered. She posed for selfies and took their greetings in person. The fan in question reportedly posed for a selfie with her first, then pinched her cheek and quickly moved away, leaving Rachita looking briefly stunned.

A second video from the same day is also said to be doing the rounds. In it, another fan seems to try the same gesture, but Rachita stops him straight away.

The actress has reportedly spoken about the episode and made it clear she did not take it badly. She is said to have compared it to the fond way people touch a child's cheek, and mentioned that her friends had asked whether she was angry. In her view, the gesture came from love and was not an inappropriate touch, though she indicated she would have objected if it had crossed a line.

The incident has also sparked a wider talking point. Excited fans at packed public events can blur the line between showing affection and getting physically close without warning, and many actresses have faced similar moments at fan meets and promotional appearances.

Rachita has been a familiar face in Kannada cinema for more than a decade, beginning with the Darshan film Bulbul in 2013. Her films reportedly include Ranna, Rathavara, Bharjari, Ayogya, Natasaarvabhowma, Bharaate and Kranti, along with a Tamil outing in Rajinikanth's Coolie. Her latest release, Ayogya 2, teamed her up again with Sathish Ninasam, and she is linked to upcoming projects including Criminal, Lilly, Daali and Shabari: Searching for Ravana.
