Parineeti Chopra Opens Up About Why She Isn't Satisfied With Her Film Career

Ishaqzaade was Parineeti Chopra's first film as the main lead. Her bubbly and adorable performance had swayed her audience off their feet. Her magnetism and fine acting on-screen were impeccable which played a key role in her debut film's success. After her first film's big success, she paved her way towards being a top-notch Bollywood actress. She then starred in films like Meri Pyaari Bindu, Hasee Toh Phasee, Golmaal Again, etc. There were several hits but she also incurred a similar number of flop films.

In a recent interview with the ETimes, Parineeti opened up about her opinion on the series of hits and flops in her career. She stated to the daily media, "Yeah, many scenes in many films in the last five years. I was very unhappy with the work I was doing. I had faith in myself but the filmmakers just wouldn't offer me the parts I was yearning for. I was signing films half-heartedly. I was in a constant state of dissatisfaction. I will be forever indebted to three directors, Amol Gupte (Saina), Dibakar Banerjee (Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar), and Ribhu Dasgupta (The Girl On The Train)."

She eventually added that she has always done films for the passion for acting and not for monetary gains. She explained, "Thankfully, I get paid well and I will never do a film for the wrong reasons. Now, my message to filmmakers is: Please watch my last three films and offer me the roles I would love to do."

Parineeti Chopra will be seen in her upcoming biopic Saina, and her reunion film with Arjun Kapoor, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
