Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor's Star kid Shanaya Kapoor is all set to be launched by Bollywood's prominent filmmaker Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions. Shanaya's debut film is going to be a rom-com directed by Shashank Khaitan. It is said that this film will also be featuring Lakshya and Gurfateh Singh Pirzada as the main leads who will be enveloped in a love triangle with Shanaya Kapoor.
It has been reported that the lead actor trio is attending acting workshops for their upcoming film for over six months. The shoot for this film was supposed to be commenced from July 2021 but due to the second wave of COVID-19, the shoot dates are pushed further.
A source close to the film crew had given some more intel on the film. The source said, "Major chunk of the story is set outside India and hence, it's important for the covid scenario to come under control. It's being planned as a big 2022 release in theatres. While the script is locked and acting workshops have already commenced, it's WIP for the other aspects of pre-production. If not for the second wave, an official announcement, with the title and director would have been made by now."
