Nushrratt Bharuccha home after spine surgery following Bali accident

Nushrratt Bharuccha is back home. The actor has left hospital after a successful spine surgery. She needed the operation after fracturing her spine in an accident in Bali.

Her team shared the news in a statement, saying they were "relieved to share that the surgery went well." Full recovery will take time, they said, but she "remains positive and is focusing on healing and regaining her strength." The team also thanked fans and well-wishers for their love, prayers and good wishes.

The accident happened while Nushrratt was in Bali on a work-cum-holiday trip. Doctors there admitted her and kept her under observation. She was then flown to Mumbai in an air ambulance for more treatment and the surgery. Her team has not said exactly what caused the accident.

An earlier statement from the team said her health came first, along with making sure she got the medical care she needed. It also warned that her work commitments could be hit while she rests and recovers.

Through it all, Nushrratt kept fans updated on Instagram. One post from her hospital bed showed her smiling as Gerua, the Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol song from Dilwale, played. Her caption read, "Healing slowly, dreaming endlessly."
