Nushrratt Bharuccha has shared her first social media post since she fractured her spine in an accident in Bali, and her message to fans is one of hope.

The actress posted a photo of an empty reclining wheelchair by a window, with the sun going down outside. Over the image she wrote: "Been chasing sunsets forever, and just like that… my view changed. But, picture abhi baaki hai, mere dost."

She went on to say that time can change a person's reality in ways that are hard to make sense of. She is not at her best right now, she admitted, but she has not given up hope and wants to be back in full swing soon.

Nushrratt was in Bali on a trip that mixed work with a holiday when the accident happened. Doctors there kept her under medical observation. An air ambulance then flew her to Mumbai for surgery on her spine.

Her publicist said in a statement that her health is the first priority and that she will need time to rest and recover. Her work schedule for the coming weeks will probably take a hit. The team asked the public to give her privacy while she focuses on treatment, thanked everyone for their concern and good wishes, and promised more updates when the time is right.
