Latha, Aishwarya and Soundarya cheer Rajinikanth as Jailer 2 hits screens

Rajinikanth's family has joined the celebrations as Jailer 2 reaches theatres. His wife Latha and daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya have all shared warm words for the superstar.

In a television interview, Latha called the release a special and emotional moment. She thanked fans for standing by her husband for so many years and said she takes their love as a blessing every time one of his films comes out. She said watching the film among his fans is nothing like watching it alone. "When you watch it with such energetic fans, you feel double the energy," she said. She added that she liked everything about the sequel.

Latha also congratulated director Nelson Dilipkumar, composer Anirudh Ravichander and the Sun Pictures team on how the film has been received.

Aishwarya posted a note on Instagram calling her father her "first son" and wishing him more success. "You are in my prayers every single moment," she wrote, hoping he keeps bringing joy to millions.

Soundarya kept her tribute short and personal. "To the world, he is Thalaivar... But to Soundarya, he is just 'Appa'," she wrote.

Jailer 2 brings Rajinikanth and Nelson together again for the follow-up to Jailer, with Anirudh handling the music.
