NTR to Resume Dragon Shoot in Mumbai From October 10 After Shoulder Injury

Young Tiger NTR is ready to face the camera again. The star will rejoin the shoot of Dragon, his first film with director Prashanth Neel, when a fresh schedule starts in Mumbai on October 10. The break came after NTR injured his shoulder, and the team has been working around his absence since.

Reports say the actor underwent surgery for the injury and has spent close to two months recovering and going through rehabilitation. He was reportedly expected back on set in September, but his return slipped to October. In the meantime, Neel is said to have kept filming the portions that did not need the lead actor.

The Mumbai leg is all about big action. The unit has planned roughly two weeks of shooting, with high-voltage stunt sequences at the centre of it. Anil Kapoor joins NTR for this stretch, and the two will film key portions together. NTR reportedly aims to wrap all his pending work on Dragon before the year ends so he can move on to his next project.

Rukmini Vasanth plays a prominent role in the film, which carries a large ensemble cast. Biju Menon is also reportedly part of the lineup, while Ravi Basrur is said to be composing the music. Mythri Movie Makers is producing the big-budget venture, with NTR Arts reportedly on board as well.

Dragon is now slated to hit screens in June 2027, reportedly a full year after the June 2026 date it was first announced for. The delay has sparked plenty of talk about the shooting progress and the budget. There is also chatter that the film could be split into two parts, though the makers have not confirmed this. The first glimpse, meanwhile, reportedly drew an exceptional response from audiences.
