Nani asks Telangana CM for permission to watch The Paradise premiere at RTC X Roads

Natural Star Nani has made a public appeal to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and the state police. He wants permission to watch the premiere of his new film The Paradise at a theatre in Hyderabad's RTC X Roads, alongside fans and movie lovers.

The premiere is set for September 23. Nani put the request out on X, saying cinema has always been about watching films together with an audience. He pointed to the special place RTC X Roads holds in Hyderabad's film culture and said he wants to experience the film there, surrounded by the people it was made for.

The request carries weight because of what happened at RTC X Roads before. During a special screening of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, a stampede broke out and a woman died. Since that night, stars have stayed away from premieres at the location.

That makes Nani the first Telugu hero to publicly ask the Telangana government for permission to return. In his appeal he assured officials that he and his team would follow every protocol and safety guideline in place, and said the safety and security of everyone present would come first.

For Nani, the reasoning is simple. He said the real satisfaction of making a film comes from sitting among the audience and feeling their response to it in the moment. That is the experience he is asking to be allowed to have with The Paradise.

The appeal has caught attention across Tollywood, and the question now sits with the government. Whether the Chief Minister and the Telangana Police say yes will depend on how they weigh that request against the safety concerns that still hang over large crowds at theatres. For now, the industry is waiting on an answer.
