Janhvi Kapoor Gives the Saree a Modern Twist at the BoF 500 Gala in Paris

Janhvi Kapoor took a desi look to Paris. The Bollywood actress went to the BoF 500 Gala, held to honour The Class of 2026 during Paris Fashion Week. She picked an off-white saree over a gown. Reports say the event took place on October 3.

The outfit was reportedly a custom piece from Pankaj S Heritage, with styling by Rhea Kapoor. The saree sat low at the waist with neat pleats, giving her a sleek, sculpted shape. The pallu did not follow tradition. It did not rest on her shoulder. Instead it hung loosely from her right arm and trailed towards the floor, leaving her shoulders and neckline bare.

A matching blouse finished the drape. Its shape came from a bustier, with thin straps, a sweetheart neckline and fine horizontal pleats. These added texture while keeping the focus on the saree.

The jewellery was the real star. Janhvi skipped a necklace. In its place she wore ornate pieces across her shoulders that looked almost like decorative epaulets. Strands of gold beads, pearls and sea shells ran from her shoulders down towards her wrists, finished with dusty pink tassels. Chunky gold ear cuffs and stacked beaded bracelets added to the look, while shell and tassel details on her left wrist tied it all together.

Her beauty look stayed warm and soft. She went with defined brows, matte eyeshadow, bronzed cheeks, a glowing highlight and a muted brown nude lip that let the jewellery shine. A sleek low bun with a centre parting kept the whole look clean and polished. It stood out sharply against the shells, pearls and tassels around it.
