Vishwak Sen's slasher film Cult gets trailer date ahead of October 30 release

The trailer for Cult, Vishwak Sen's new slasher film, will be out on Sunday, October 18. The film opens in theatres on October 30.

A fresh poster from the makers announced the trailer date. Cult marks Vishwak Sen's return to the director's chair, and he also takes on a major role in front of the camera.

Everything released so far points to a brutal, bloody film. The story is set at a private party that turns deadly, with a group of young people left fighting for their lives. The makers have pitched it as a slasher, the horror form built on deadly threats and a desperate struggle to survive.

Gayatri Bharadwaj, Tarak Ponnappa, Murali Sharma, Srikanth Iyengar and Kartikeya play key roles. Ravi Basrur is scoring the music.

Reports say the shoot is complete, with major portions filmed on sets built at Ramoji Film City.
