Victory Venkatesh's family entertainer Aadarsha Kutumbam, also known as AK 47, will not reach theatres on October 9 as planned. Trivikram Srinivas directs the film, which was set to cash in on the Dasara holidays. It has now been pushed to a date that is not yet fixed, and fans hoping for a festive outing with Venky are clearly let down.

Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi spoke to the media in Hyderabad on Monday and said the delay comes from post-production. He said the team felt sure about the October 9 date until a few days ago and had even opened overseas bookings. They then realised the film was not ready to go before the overseas censor. Rather than rush it out, they chose to hold it back for the sake of quality.

Naga Vamsi said the makers will look at a suitable slot in two or three weeks. The final date will be announced only after talks with Venkatesh, who is currently travelling. Reports suggest the star knew before he left on a trip to London that the film would miss its date. He reportedly kept urging Trivikram to finish the work quickly, and some editing on the second half was still pending when he left.

Venkatesh's only public response so far has been an Instagram post about calm being a superpower, and about how not overreacting keeps the mind clear and the heart at peace. Some fans read it as a sign that he is hurt by the delay, though the actor often shares lines like this. The producer, meanwhile, has reportedly been facing heavy trolling from fans online.

The film presents Venkatesh as a middle-class family man, alongside Srinidhi Shetty, Nivetha Pethuraj and Nara Rohith. Thaman scores the music and Haarika & Hassine Creations produces. Hopes are high because Trivikram wrote the dialogues for two of Venkatesh's biggest hits, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav (2001) and Malliswari (2004).
