Aadarsha Kutumbam, the Venkatesh and Trivikram film that was due in theatres on October 9, has reportedly been postponed. According to reports, producer Naga Vamsi confirmed the decision himself at a press meet. That ends days of talk about whether the film would keep its date.

This is not the first time the film has moved. It was first set for October 2 and then shifted to October 9, and at that point Naga Vamsi firmly said there would be no further change. Even so, talk of other dates, including October 16 and October 30, had started doing the rounds again in recent days.

Explaining the delay, Naga Vamsi reportedly said the team was stepping back because of the reaction on social media, adding that Venkatesh fans had complained the film's publicity was weak. He said only about 80 percent of the output would be ready by October 9. He added that the makers will release the film only once they are fully happy with the final copy. He had picked the October 9 date himself, he said, because school holidays begin on October 10.

The producer reportedly apologised to fans and admitted that announcing the date early was a big mistake. He said it had also caused trouble for other films planning their releases. Whenever the film arrives, he promised, Venkatesh fans will get a movie they can be proud of.

As for a new date, Naga Vamsi said October 30 is not fixed either. Over the next two to three weeks, the team plans to finish two more songs, the trailer and the publicity work. The new release date will be announced after Venkatesh returns to India and the makers discuss it with Suresh Babu.

The delay adds to the existing talk about release schedules at Naga Vamsi's banner, where several films have seen their dates change for different reasons. Fans will now wait for the official word on when Aadarsha Kutumbam finally reaches theatres.
