Salman Khan's Maatrubhumi still in post-production, final cut not yet locked
Salman Khan's Maatrubhumi has not locked its final cut, and Ravi Basrur is still scoring the film, so it will reach the CBFC and get a release date only after the remaining work is done.
Salman Khan's Maatrubhumi is still in post-production, and the makers have not yet sent it to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The final cut has not been locked. A source close to the project said music composer Ravi Basrur is working on the background score at Octavia Studios, while the changes asked for are still being added to the film.
Certification comes next. The Apoorva Lakhia film will go to the CBFC only once those changes are done. The source added that the makers will plan a release date after the final cut is locked and the certification process begins.
Maatrubhumi was meant to reach theatres in April this year, but that date passed without a release. Salman plays an Indian Army officer in the film, and fans still have no official date to look forward to.
Beyond this film, Salman has Vamshi Paidipally's next directorial lined up. Nayanthara is part of the cast, and the film is aimed at an Eid 2027 release.
