Paidipally Vamshidhar Rao was born on 27th July 1979. He is better known as Vamshi Paidipally, is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works mainly in Telugu cinema. He is known for directing movies such as Munna (2007), Brindavanam (2010), Yevadu (2014), Oopiri (2016), and Maharshi (2019). He received the National Film Award for Maharshi and a Filmfare Award.
Vamshi Paidipally was born in Khanapur of Adilabad district, Telangana. His parents, who are from Bhimaram near Jagtial town, own a cinema hall in Khanapur. He did his schooling at Hyderabad Public School and his intermediate from Little Flower Junior College. He then completed a bachelor's degree in commerce and Master's in Computer Applications from Osmania University and had worked as a software engineer in Hyderabad.
