Salman Khan says his old Galaxy Apartments room had an unseen presence
On the opening episode of Koffee With Karan Season 9, Salman Khan said he never felt alone in his small bedroom at Galaxy Apartments, describing flickering lights, cupboards opening and music switching on by itself.
Salman Khan has said he never felt alone in his old bedroom at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai. The actor told the story on the opening episode of Koffee With Karan Season 9.
Host Karan Johar set it up. He remembered going to the Khan family home to narrate Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and finding Salman in the tiniest room in the house, with one bed and one cupboard. Salim Khan, Salma, Arbaaz and Sohail all lived there too. Karan said he was shocked that this was the star's bedroom.
Inside that room, Salman said, odd things kept happening. Every time he stepped out, the lights went on and off. The cupboards opened on their own and the music system started playing. From the bathroom, he could sense someone outside, fiddling with the cupboard. He never saw anyone. He only heard and felt it.
Asked if the room was haunted, he said no. He called it a presence. He felt it most when music was playing, so he would put on a song for it and walk out. When the family played at the billiards table outside, they could hear someone in the room.
None of it scared him, because it never did anything to him. His only request to it, he said, was that if it was a really beautiful woman, it should show itself to him.
Karisma Kapoor also looked back on their years together. She recalled Salman refusing to shoot a song for Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge until she changed an outfit she had worked hard on, and said she went to David Dhawan to complain. Salman explained that the short skirt kept riding up during the dance and the fabric was see-through. Karisma said he was always very protective of her.
On the work front, Salman's next film is Maatrubhumi.
