Salman Khan opens the final season of Koffee With Karan on October 14

Salman Khan will open the ninth and final season of Koffee With Karan, which starts streaming on JioHotstar's Peacock Hub on October 14.

The first promo puts the superstar back on the couch next to host Karan Johar. Karan reminds him that this is the last season, so the talk could go anywhere, and Salman agrees straight away. JioHotstar posted the clip with the caption, "You don't start the final Koffee without Bhai."

This time Salman comes alone. He first appeared in Season 4. He came back in Season 5 for the show's 100th episode, with his brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan beside him. The new episode is his first in more than ten years.

Karan said in a statement that Season 9 would be the last. He called the show an extraordinary part of his life that gave him friendships, memories and its share of controversies. "Saying goodbye is emotional, but it also feels right," he said.

In a video shared in late September, the filmmaker looked back at how the show began in 2004. He recalled that his father, producer Yash Johar, did not like the idea at first. The makers have not yet named the other guests.
