Saif Ali Khan joins Instagram, opens with a post on the Pataudi Library

Saif Ali Khan is finally on Instagram. The actor stayed away from public social media for years. Now he has a verified account, and his first post is about the Pataudi Library.

He posted a couple of pictures from the library with a playful caption: "Pataudi Library.. Judging books by their cover."

His first follow went to his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and she followed him back. Kareena has often shared him on her own profile, but until now Saif never kept a public account of his own.

It marks a clear turn for an actor who once kept the platform at arm's length. In a 2024 interview, Saif said he had the app and a secret account that he used now and then to browse. He said he did not enjoy it much, and each time he scrolled for a while he promised himself he would delete it, then never did. He also said he liked that nobody asked him to promote things, because staying offline gave him "a lot of peace and quiet."

On the work front, Saif was last seen in Priyadarshan's Haiwaan with Akshay Kumar. The film got a lukewarm response at the box office.
