Choreographer and filmmaker Ganesh Acharya unveiled the trailer of 'Ganesh: Dust to Stardust' on Sunday. He wrote and directed the biographical drama, and it tells his own story. The film hits theatres on December 11.

The story traces how a boy from humble beginnings became one of the leading dance masters in Hindi cinema. It covers the struggles and sacrifices along the way, and dance plays a big part in the trailer.

Shivanshu Soni, Alok Shaw, Sukanya Kalan and Sakshi Pawaskar lead the cast. Acharya wrote the screenplay and dialogues with Digangana Suryavanshi, and Junaid Kumar is part of the music team.

"Everyone has the right to dream, but dreams don't come true just by dreaming," Acharya said in a statement. He called the film very close to his heart and said he hopes viewers find a little of their own dreams and struggles in it.

His daughter Soundarya Acharya produced the film. She said it had been special to watch her father bring the vision to life, and that he put passion and hard work into every part of it.

Akshay Kumar shared the trailer on Instagram. He wrote that he and 'Master ji' go back a long way, that Acharya's very first song as a choreographer was with him, and that he feels proud of the heights his friend has reached.
