Ranabaali runtime: Vijay Deverakonda says the film runs 2 hours 50 minutes

Vijay Deverakonda has revealed the final runtime of Ranabaali. In an interview, the actor said the rough cut ran to around 3 hours and 20 minutes, and proper editing brought it down to 2 hours and 50 minutes. That still leaves the film close to the three hour mark.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is a period action drama with Rashmika Mandanna playing the female lead opposite Vijay. Rahul has described it as an alternate-history film, one that picks up a part of the past and reimagines how it might have played out.

The makers are pushing ahead with promotions and plan to build buzz over the next few days. Reports say the film opens in theatres on October 16, and it will go up against Rajinikanth's Jailer 2.
