Ramayana international trailer launch set for Bengaluru today
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend starts its international campaign with a trailer launch event in Bengaluru, and producer Namit Malhotra calls it a big step toward taking the story to the world.
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend takes its campaign global today, with the film's international trailer due to be unveiled at an event in Bengaluru on October 15. Prime Focus Studios and Yash's Monster Mind Creations are hosting the launch, and members of the cast and crew are expected to attend.
Producer Namit Malhotra set the stage on Wednesday night in a statement signed with director Nitesh Tiwari and Yash. He said the team had always dreamed of taking one of India's greatest stories to the world, and that Sony Pictures was now starting its international campaign for the film. "Our truth. Our history. From India to the world. Jai Shri Ram," the note ended.
Sony Pictures will distribute the film outside India, while Dharma Productions handles the Hindi-speaking market. In the US, the Motion Picture Association has rated it PG-13, citing intense action, violence and some bloody images. IMAX lists a runtime of 3 hours and 15 minutes, though the makers have not confirmed the final length.
Ranbir Kapoor plays Rama, Sai Pallavi is Sita and Yash is Ravana. Sunny Deol plays Hanuman and Ravie Dubey is Lakshman. New TV spots are already on air, after the character posters and a behind-the-scenes video.
Telugu fans got a treat of their own. Sai Pallavi is the first guest on season two of Jayammu Nischayammu Raa with Jagapathi, and in the promo Ranbir sends her a video message. He praises her honesty and says he cannot imagine anyone else as Sita. He then signs off in Telugu, thanking his Telugu audience for their love. The episode premieres on Zee5 on October 16.
Made with visual effects house DNEG, Ramayana is a two-part epic. Part one releases worldwide on November 5, 2026, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, with IMAX screenings planned. Part two arrives on Diwali 2027.
