Ramayana: Anupam Kher voices Jatayu as makers unveil the bird's first poster

Anupam Kher is the voice of Jatayu in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, and the makers have unveiled the bird's first poster, titled "The Wings of Dharma."

The reveal comes in two visuals. One frames Jatayu's face up close, all fierce stare, while the other shows the great bird with its wings stretched wide. Sharing it on social media, the makers wrote, "He fought not for victory, but for what was right."

In the epic, Jatayu flies at Ravana as he carries Sita away, choosing to fight even though Ravana is far more powerful. The poster is the latest in the film's run of character reveals.

Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, with Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios produces the film with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations.

Ramayana is planned in two parts. Part 1 opens in theatres worldwide on November 5, 2026, and advance bookings start on Dussehra, October 20. Part 2 follows at Diwali 2027, and both will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
