Premada Oorali holds firm on third Monday, crosses Rs 50 crore in 18 days

Kannada romantic drama Premada Oorali barely slowed on its third Monday. It earned close to Rs 5 crore on day 18 at the Indian box office.

Trade estimates put that Monday figure between Rs 4.75 crore and Rs 5 crore. That matches or slightly beats what the film made on its third Friday, which is rare for a working day.

After 18 days, its India total stands between Rs 59 crore and Rs 62.5 crore gross, and net takings are past the Rs 50 crore mark. Sunday, day 17, was its biggest single day so far.

The start was quiet. The film collected only around Rs 5 crore to Rs 6 crore in its first week. Strong word of mouth then pushed the second week to more than four times that amount, and the momentum has carried into week three.

Rangayana Raghu, Shree Raam, Tapaswini Poonaccha and Ramika Shivu lead the cast of this romantic comedy drama. If the current trend holds, the film is expected to enter the Rs 100 crore club before its run ends.
