Nani in talks with 96 director Prem Kumar for a love story after Bloody Romeo

Nani is in talks with director Prem Kumar, the filmmaker behind 96 and Meiyazhagan (Satyam Sundaram in Telugu), for a romantic drama. Neither the actor nor the director has announced the project yet. Rukmini Vasanth is reportedly the pick for the female lead.

The actor has said himself that a love story comes next on his lineup after Bloody Romeo. In a recent interview, he called it a subtle and sweet romance meant for audiences of all ages. Children are often the first to walk up to him at functions and public events, he added, and he is happy to make a film they can enjoy.

Before that, the Natural Star joins the sets of Bloody Romeo, a stylish action comedy directed by Sujeeth. Nani has described it as a sleek and witty entertainer in which he plays a man with two identities, a chef and an outlaw. He also promised that the action will not be overly raw or gory.

His last release was The Paradise, an action thriller set in the 1980s and directed by Srikanth Odela, with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
