Nani plays both a chef and a gangster in Bloody Romeo, his upcoming film with director Sujeeth, and he says its blend of action, style and humour is something Telugu audiences have not watched before.

Speaking in a recent interview, the actor called it a stylish, theatrical action film. He also drew a clear line on the violence. "It's not an extremely violent film, but it provides very theatrical experience and stylish violence," he said.

Comedy is a big part of the plan. Nani said Sujeeth has given the action a witty twist, and that pairing of fights and laughs sits at the heart of the film.

He kept the plot under wraps for now. "I can't really go into more details because it's still not started," he said.

Even so, his excitement was plain. "We're doing something extremely new, extremely exciting, very, very unique. Not just for Telugu, I think we haven't seen a film like that in that particular genre," Nani said.

The Paradise, his previous film, came up as well. He sees Bloody Romeo as a fresh change from it. "So I'm very excited and it's such a contrast from that. I think that will also be very refreshing to watch," he said.
