Ramayana: Arun Govil revealed as King Dashrath in new poster

Arun Govil plays King Dashrath in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, and his first look from the film is now out.

The makers posted the poster on social media. It shows the veteran actor dressed as royalty, as the ruler of Ayodhya and the father of Lord Ram. Their post reminded fans that he once played Ram himself for a whole generation of viewers, and then announced that he is back in the world of the epic in a new role.

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash lead the mythological drama. Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Sunny Deol, Vivek Oberoi and Ravi Dubey also feature in the cast.

Music comes from two big names working together, A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

Ramayana opens in theatres around the world on November 6, 2026, a month after the poster came out.
