Ramayana drops new posters as MrBeast chants Jai Shri Ram with Ranbir Kapoor

The promotion of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana picked up pace this weekend. The team released fresh character posters, and American YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, known worldwide as MrBeast, made a surprise appearance. At a promotional event in Mumbai on Saturday, he chanted "Jai Shri Ram" alongside Ranbir Kapoor, and the crowd loved it.

The moment came when a fan in the audience shouted the chant at him. Ranbir, who plays Lord Ram, helped him say it back. MrBeast also praised the part of the film he had seen and called it phenomenal. Reports say the event started hours late, around 5 pm instead of the planned 1:30 pm, and producer Namit Malhotra apologised, blaming logistics the team could not control.

Ranbir spoke about why the epic still matters. He described Lord Ram as a figure deeply rooted in every Indian's mind, and as an ideal man who gave up a prince's comforts to keep his father's promise. He said he hoped the film would introduce audiences to Indian culture and the idea of dharma. Malhotra said the story contrasts a hero who gives up everything yet has plenty with a Ravana who is alone despite owning everything. Ravi Dubey, who plays Lakshman, said the film was 40 days away from release.

The makers also unveiled new posters. One shows Ranbir's Ram, Sai Pallavi's Sita and Ravi Dubey's Lakshman together during their exile, in simple traditional clothes, with Ram holding an ornate bow. A separate first look presents Rocking Star Yash as Ravana, dressed in black and gold in front of his golden Lanka palace. Fans online were largely thrilled, and Yash's poster drew especially strong praise for its scale and menace.

Ramayana is being made as a two part epic. Part One arrives at Diwali 2026, reportedly on November 6, and Part Two follows at Diwali 2027. Reports say the film is backed by Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, and will release worldwide in IMAX.
