Rajinikanth's autobiography may release in Tamil and English, says Vairamuthu
Lyricist Vairamuthu says Rajinikanth told him work on his autobiography is underway and hinted it could first come out in Tamil and English, as Jailer 2 heads for an October 15 release.
Rajinikanth's autobiography could arrive in both Tamil and English, lyricist Vairamuthu has revealed after a recent meeting with the superstar.
The seven-time National Award winner shared details of the visit on X. He said he called on Rajinikanth to wish him ahead of the release of Jailer 2. The two talked about art and life, and Vairamuthu made a point of saying politics never came up.
When he asked when the book would be out, Rajinikanth replied, "Work is underway. It will be out soon." Vairamuthu said he told the actor that people were eagerly waiting for it, and when asked why, he answered, "many have a history but you also have charisma." Rajinikanth then hinted that the first release could be in Tamil and English together.
Jailer 2 hits screens on October 15. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the action entertainer has been cleared by the CBFC with a U/A certificate. Filming wrapped in April, and the makers marked it with a cake cutting on set.
The trailer has Rajinikanth's Tiger Muthuvel Pandian going off the radar by posing as a driver, so he can find out how high the chain of command among the villains goes. Suraj Venjaramoodu plays one of the men trying to work out who is hitting them, and S J Suryah plays another enemy who warns that they can strike back. Vidya Balan shares a playful tea or coffee exchange with the hero. When someone warns him about the feared "Kalpaks", Muthuvel Pandian just smiles and dares them to try.
