Nagarjuna has hit out at big films that keep moving their release dates. He did not name Venkatesh's Aadarsha Kutumbam, but his point was clear. Speaking to the media on Friday, he said these sudden delays leave small films like Itlu Arjuna in real trouble.

Nagarjuna is presenting Itlu Arjuna under his Annapurna Studios banner. He said the film had to give up its planned date when a much bigger release, itself pushed back from October 2, moved in. Itlu Arjuna now opens in cinemas on October 30, and he said he hopes it can keep that date.

Keeping the buzz going has been tough, he admitted. A teaser and four songs are already out, so the team has little left to show. He added that producer Venky Kudumula has taken on a heavy load through all the changes. Nagarjuna has seen an early cut and liked it a lot, comparing its romance and charm to Kshana Kshanam and Ninne Pelladutha.

Aadarsha Kutumbam was first set for October 2, then moved to October 9, and was pushed back again when post-production ran late. Producer Naga Vamsi said the team needed more time to get the technical work right.

The makers have said nothing about a new date since. Reports say November 20 is being considered, but nothing has been announced.
