Biography

Akkineni Nagarjuna is an Indian film Actor, Television presenter and Producer who works primarily in Telugu Film Industry. Nagarjuna, son of the Ever Green Hero Akkineni Negeswara Rao. For his higher studies he went to abroad and completed his M.S. in Automobiles at Eastern Michigan University. Nagarjuna made his film debut in lead role with "Vikram" in 1986 the movie was huge commercial success. He has acted in over ninety films as an actor in a lead.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>He has received nine state "Nandi Awards", three "Filmfare Awards" South and one Special Mention at the National Film Awards. The 1996 film "Ninne Pelladata", produced by him was declared the Best Telugu film of the year at the National Film Awards. As of today he holds considerable portion of equity shares in TV channel Maa TV.&nbsp;<div><br>In 2015, Nagarjuna was honored with the "Entertainment Leader Award" (Television) for his work in Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu at the TV-5 Business Leaders Awards ceremony. Nagarjuna, with his wife Amala, founded Blue Cross of Hyderabad, a registered society recognized by the "Animal Welfare Board" of India. It is Non-Government Organization(NGO) in Hyderabad, which works towards the welfare of animals and preservation of animal rights.</div></div>
