Akkineni Nagarjuna requested Vikram Kumar to come up with a story on similar lines to Manam. Manam is an exclusive chapter in the life story of the Akkineni Family. The movie stands out as a befitting reply to the late legendary actor and Nagarjuna's father, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who was last seen on screen in that movie. All the members of the Akkineni Family were seen in the movie, except for a few. Akhil's guest role for the movie remained the highlight of the movie.

Now, Akkineni Nagarjuna has given an equally tough job to Vikram Kumar to come up with a similar script that showcases the entire Akkineni family in the story. The condition was it should resemble Manam and has to be directed by Vikram Kumar himself. In a recent episode of BiggBoss show, Samatha hosted it in Nag's absence, Akhil was also quite a part of the show with his movie promotion. The show gathered immense response from the audience, this might have influenced Nag to plan for an entertainer along with his entire family.
