Katrina Kaif says letting trolls dictate her life would have left her paralysed

Katrina Kaif has said she will not let social media opinions decide her self-worth. She said this weeks after trolls went after how she looked following her pregnancy.

The actor spoke in London on October 8, where Kay Beauty marked one year since it launched in the UK. She said that trying to please every voice online takes away a person's ability to make choices for themselves. "If every time that I faced critiques or comments, I let that dictate my actions, I think I would have been paralysed with fear," she said. Some days the world celebrates you, she added, and on other days you have to be your own biggest cheerleader.

Katrina linked that thinking to her brand's tagline, "It's K to be you." Confidence rises and falls through different phases of life, she said, so people should accept who they are in the moment and not take themselves too seriously.

She did not mention the trolling directly. The comments started in September, after she attended the Ambani family's Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations with her husband Vicky Kaushal and users picked on her weight. The couple welcomed their son, Vihaan, in November 2025.

Salman Khan also spoke against this kind of trolling on the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20. "Everyone puts on weight after pregnancy. When she resumes filming, she will get back in shape," he said. He added that a new mother should be left to spend time with her family.
