Karthik Subbaraj says he has narrated a script to Chiranjeevi
Director Karthik Subbaraj says he has narrated a script to Chiranjeevi and hopes to work with him, though nothing is final yet, while the star gets Kaaka ready for Sankranti 2027.
Director Karthik Subbaraj has pitched a story to Chiranjeevi. On the podcast Permit Room, the filmmaker said he had narrated a script to the Megastar. He added that nothing is locked yet, and that he hopes the two of them will work together.
For now there is no official announcement. Fans waiting for a title, a genre or a cast list will have to wait until the project firms up.
The director's latest film is Dorothy. It is set in the 1980s and follows Subbu and Karthi, friends since their school days, who grow up under the rule of Subbu's father, Whistle Veeraiah. Things change when Subbu's brother brings home a wife, Dorothy, played by Keerthy Suresh. She becomes the one person Subbu can truly be himself with. Rishikanth is also in the lead cast.
Chiranjeevi already has a big release coming. His next film is Kaaka, directed by Bobby Kolli, and it is set to open in theatres on January 13, 2027, for the Sankranti festival.
