‘Haiku’ is a sincere love story that takes everyone back to their college days: Kona Venkat

Starring Aegan, Sridevi (of Court fame) and Femina George in the lead roles, the romantic entertainer ‘Haiku’ is produced under the Vision Cinema House banner. Written and directed by Yuvaraj Chinnasamy, the film is produced by Dr. D. Arulanandu and Mathew Arulanandu, and releases on October 23. Noted writer and producer Kona Venkat and director Ram Jagadeesh (of Court fame) attended the release press meet in Hyderabad on Saturday as chief guests.

Heroine Sridevi said: "This film connected very deeply with my heart. I liked the story the moment I heard it and agreed right away. Whether you are in love, in a relationship or a married couple, this film will appeal to everyone. You will see all the complications of love in it. Aegan is very down to earth, and it was a pleasure working with him. A big thanks to the director for handling me so calmly. Our whole team was very supportive. This is my Tamil debut. I hope you all enjoy it in theatres on October 23."

Hero Aegan said: "I am new to the industry, and Haiku is very close to my heart. We worked very hard on this film and I am extremely confident about it. Music director Sidhu Kumar has given his best music. I have known director Yuvaraj Chinnasamy for ten years, and now we have made a film together. We will 200% meet again in Hyderabad for the Haiku success meet."

Kona Venkat said: "Haiku releases on October 23. As soon as I watched the trailer, it felt cool and refreshing. Selling the rights to an OTT platform first and then starting the shoot is truly commendable. That they narrated the story to Netflix and then made Haiku shows how much the script impressed them. This story will definitely excite everyone; it is a sincere love story. The film beautifully captures college life and will take us all back to our college days. It is a must-watch especially for Sridevi. Welcome to the Telugu industry, Aegan!"
