Jailer 2 crosses Rs 200 crore worldwide within two days of release

Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 has crossed Rs 200 crore at the worldwide box office, and it took the film just two days in theatres to get there.

Collections in India slowed on the second day. Reports say the film earned Rs 37.10 crore net in India on Day 2, down about 38% from its Rs 59.70 crore opening, which takes its India net total to Rs 96.80 crore. Overseas markets added Rs 40 crore on the same day, for an overseas gross of Rs 97 crore and a worldwide gross of Rs 210.65 crore.

Tamil led the Day 2 numbers in India with Rs 26.60 crore. The Telugu version brought in Rs 7.25 crore, ahead of Hindi at Rs 2.90 crore and Kannada at around Rs 35 lakh.

Jailer 2 is the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer, and Rajinikanth is back as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, SJ Suryah and Mithun Chakraborty join him. Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff return, and Hrithik Roshan makes a special appearance.
