George Krish First Booster shows Sharwanand as both a Christian and a Hindu

The team behind George Krish has released the film's First Booster to mark director Sreenu Vaitla's birthday. Sharwanand leads this comedy entertainer, which opens in cinemas on January 14, 2027, as a Sankranti release. The film is also the first time the actor and the director have worked together.

The big talking point is Sharwanand's double identity. He plays George, a Christian, and Krish, a Hindu, and the glimpse puts each character in a very different devotional setting. Reports say one scene has him dancing to rhymes in a church, while the other shows him singing bhajans. The contrast between the two worlds gives the scenes a playful, comic flavour, and it leaves viewers asking how the two names are linked.

Sharwanand has also had a clear makeover for the role. He switches between three different looks across the video, including a sharp formal style. Much of the humour comes from his expressions. Manasa Varanasi, who plays the female lead, gets a short introduction that hints at the romance in the story. She reportedly makes her entry at a restaurant as the glimpse ends.

Vaitla is known for comedy and family entertainers, and here he seems to be playing to those strengths while moving into a new setting. Anup Rubens is composing the music, and his lively score keeps the mood cheerful throughout. K V Guhan's camera work gives the visuals a colourful, polished finish. The video reportedly also features the title song.

George Krish is presented by ATV and produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under Anil Sunkara's AK Entertainments banner, with Ajay Sunkara as co-producer. With this first glimpse out, the film is setting itself up as a wholesome family outing for the Sankranti festival season.
