Drishyam 3 passes Hanuman Ansh worldwide in 10 days as the devotional hit keeps running
Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 3 has collected about Rs 479 crore worldwide in 10 days, overtaking Hanuman Ansh's Rs 435 crore to become the second biggest hit of 2026, while the devotional drama keeps growing in its tenth week.
Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 3 has overtaken Hanuman Ansh at the worldwide box office. The thriller has collected about Rs 479 crore gross in just 10 days, while the devotional drama stands at Rs 435 crore.
That lead of roughly Rs 44 crore makes Drishyam 3 the second biggest hit of 2026, behind only Dhurandhar 2. Border 2 and Hanuman Ansh each drop one place. In India alone, the Ajay Devgn film has made Rs 309 crore net so far.
Hanuman Ansh is still drawing crowds deep into its run. The Vishal Chaturvedi film grew again on its 10th Sunday. That is a rare comeback for a film that barely registered in its first two weeks, then picked up from the third week as word of mouth spread.
Producer Anupriya Nagar said nobody on the team expected this. "The first two weeks, the film didn't work at all, and on the eighth day, the industry declared the film a flop," she said. She added that its screen count fell from 300 to 30 at one point, and the team was told only a miracle could keep it in theatres.
Nagar said the film, built around the life of spiritual guru Neem Karoli Baba, was planned as a trilogy from the start, and this is the first part. The second film still has to be planned. The makers will take this one to OTT next, she said. It opened overseas on September 11.
