Hanuman Ansh has crossed ₹310 crore nett at the Indian box office in 61 days, reports say, and the devotional drama is still selling tickets in its ninth week.

That figure stands out because of how little the film cost. Director-producer Vishal Chaturvedi has put the production budget at roughly ₹1.5 to 1.7 crore.

Its start gave no hint of what was coming. Hanuman Ansh opened on a very small scale, earning ₹0.90 crore in its first week and ₹0.50 crore in its second. Word of mouth then took over. The third week brought in ₹10.35 crore, and the fifth week alone added ₹84.75 crore.

The run is now in its final stretch. The film collected ₹85 lakh on its ninth Tuesday, up 13 per cent on the day before, and its ninth week stood at ₹9.10 crore after five days.
