The team behind Hanuman Ansh, the devotional biopic on Neem Karoli Baba, offered prayers at Kainchi Dham in Uttarakhand's Nainital district. The visit came just a day after director Vishal Chaturvedi asked devotees to think twice before travelling there because of heavy crowds. Chaturvedi himself did not join the trip.

Lead actor Shobhinaw Satyaa, who plays the spiritual guru on screen, took part in the aarti at the shrine. He thanked audiences for making the film a huge hit and said the team missed its director. He gave Chaturvedi's hard work the credit for the film's success and said his current duties kept him away. Reports say actor Purnima Tiwari and producer Ragini Sona were also in the group, and that the team thanked Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for inviting them.

On Sunday, Chaturvedi had posted a video on Instagram about the rush at the ashram. He said people were linking the crowds to his film. He asked devotees to check the conditions first and to choose other places linked to the guru if it was too packed, so that women and children are not trapped in crushing crowds or long traffic jams. Over the long weekend that began on Gandhi Jayanti, more than 35,000 devotees reportedly visited the shrine every day, well above the usual 25,000.

At the box office, the film has earned Rs 325.48 crore net in India after 60 days. Its worldwide total reportedly stands at Rs 424 crore, with Rs 39.80 crore of that coming from overseas. It was made on a budget of around Rs 2 crore, which reportedly makes it the most profitable Hindi film ever in terms of returns.

The run is now slowing down. Day 60 reportedly brought in Rs 75 lakh, the first time in 43 days that the daily figure dropped below Rs 1 crore. Dhurandhar 2 stays far ahead as the top grosser of 2026.

Telugu fans can look forward to a dubbed Telugu version, which is reportedly set to hit theatres across India on October 9. That release could give the film's collections a fresh push.
