Dhanush to launch a political party, name and details to be announced later

Dhanush is entering Tamil Nadu politics with a party of his own. The actor's representatives confirmed the plan and said the party's name and other details will be announced later.

Reports say the new party will be called Tamilaga Ezhuchi Kazhagam and that the name has already gone to the Election Commission for registration. His team rejected that part. They said no name has been registered so far.

On the ground, his fan clubs across Tamil Nadu have become more organised. They are running welfare activities, holding membership drives and making appointments at the district level.

His recent meetings with fan club members have added to the talk about his political plans. A formal announcement is expected to set out the party's structure, aims and plans.
