Shraddha Kapoor and Shakti Kapoor lease Mahalaxmi flat at Rs 2.5 lakh a month

Shraddha Kapoor and her father, veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, have leased out their 1,050 sq ft apartment in Mumbai's Mahalaxmi on a three-year deal that starts at Rs 2.5 lakh a month.

Registered on June 26, 2026, the leave and licence agreement carries a security deposit of Rs 7.5 lakh. The rent goes up every year, to Rs 2.62 lakh a month in year two and Rs 2.75 lakh in year three. The flat is in Piramal Mahalaxmi South Tower in Mahalaxmi East.

Akshat Khetan is the licensee. The home comes fully furnished with a sofa, chairs, cupboards, four air-conditioners, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a water purifier, a gas stove, a hob, a chimney and a dining table. It can be used only as a residence.

Maintenance, rates, taxes, levies, assessments and non-occupancy charges stay with the father and daughter as licensors. Khetan will pay the electricity bill directly, based on usage.

Last year, the pair bought a luxury apartment for Rs 6.24 crore from Glyder Buildcon Realtors Private Limited. That purchase was registered on January 13, 2025, for a carpet area of 1,042.73 sq ft including two balconies, roughly Rs 59,875 per sq ft.

Shraddha also rents a 3,928.86 sq ft home in Juhu. She first took it in 2024 at Rs 6 lakh a month, paying a full year in advance, and earlier this year she renewed the lease for another year, again handing over the entire Rs 72 lakh annual rent upfront.
